 Dr. James J. Elist is an honored and renowned M.D., board-certified, and award-winning urologist. Dr. Elist’s passion is helping men become and feel their very best. Dr. Elist has been in private practice in Beverly Hills, California since 1982, specializing in urology, male sexual dysfunctions, impotency, and infertility (his efforts marked by hundreds of successful cases that have resulted in conception).
A few of Dr. Elist's many past positions include Chairperson, committee member, and practicing surgeon at many hospitals such as Cedars Sinai Medical Center and Beverly Hills Medical Center. In addition, he has served on numerous panels including committees of Oncology, Ethics, Utilization, Medical Records Review, etc.
Beginning in 1994 and as recently as 2001 (see below), Dr. Elist has been awarded multiple patents by the United States Government for his innovative treatment of congenital male sex organ deformities, impotency, and male penile and testicular enhancement.
Most importantly, Dr. Elist’s prostheses are FDA approved and the subject of numerous accredited articles, interviews, and news reports. He has been the subject of feature stories on CNN, NBC, Fox News and KTLA, among others. Dr. Elist has also treated numerous celebrities during his distinguished career.
Dr. Elist has authored the book “Put Impotency in Your Past” in which he addresses an extensive list of questions and issues regarding male impotency and penile dysfunctions. He was the first physician to publish an article that not only definitively proved the effect of smoking on male impotency, but also identified new treatments for male impotency resulting from smoking. In fact, the subject article formed much of the basis for the proposition of Congressman Henry Waxman and then U.S. Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop, that led to including this finding in the precautionary warning required on all cigarette packaging.

Dr. Elist has been widely renowned for his ground-breaking international activities, including performing multiple surgeries in the Middle East and in Europe, teaching and training surgeons internationally, and serving as a moderator and lecturer for multiple societies of The China Urological Association for over fifteen years.
